Have Your Cake...

& Eat it too!!

This is one of my latest LO for Pink Sketches #7.
I really had fun doing this layout. It was great to photolog as well as journal a little of God's goodness and faithfulness in both of our lives, manifested in Dave's especially.

Description: It's been a tremendous year of blessings for my beloved husband, Dave, in his life and career. We are witnessing double portion of blessings - from being head-hunted twice for work, to having a super pay increment for stepping out of his comfort zone in his 1st job. This LO is to celebrate him and God's goodness in our lives.

Journalling: Arrowed for greatness! This year is such a remarkable year that showcases Christ's faithfulness to us, much more significantly during the period of your birthday. It's so exciting to witness how you've been tremendously blessed with job pay increments; & for stepping out of the force coming 2 years now, you've been increased 50%! Not to mention head-hunted twice! Blessed to be a blessing!

Supplies: My Mind's Eye 29th Street Market papers, LUXE Simple Grid Lime paper, Maya Road Arrow Chipboards, Basic Grey Dark Chocolate Chipboard alphas, American Crafts Thickers. Hero Arts Manuscript Rubber Stamp.

The chipboard arrows were used in the place of florishes as I thought it would be more "manly" for a guy's LO also to represent that he is arrowed for greatness. I simply dressed up the chipboard by just using a Manuscript Stamp from Hero Arts and randomly stamped over it. I was inspired from another challenge site which I chanced upon called Method Playground. I thought it was really interesting and when I came to doing my sketch, I thought to incorporate the idea, although it wasn't exactly recreating the arrows to be something else.
Hope you enjoyed the sketch and my layout on it! Remember to come play along with us yah?
Have a great week ahead!!
