Hi there! How was your weekend?
It was a swell time for my family and I.
I'm feeling a little tired physically over the weekend which I have no idea why.
Anyway, here is
Pink Sketch #14, I had to wait till Kelli posted up the pics before I share the layout here.
This week, I've finally opened up my
LabelTulip October kit to play with. I couldn't resist the transparency as well as the crate paper found in the pack, so I traced out the border of the Crate Paper's Die-Cut paper and attached it to the Prima Transparency and cut out along the shape. Similar concept to a LO I did for Pink Sketches sometime back. I think it was Sketch #5
I could "add-on" papers from behind of the transparency so it still has that layered feel.
I had to place my transparent layout against a dark brown cardstock for the photo-taking of it so as to show some contrast!
Here's my layout:
{Carry Us Thru}
Description: This layout is to reflect the thankful mode that I'm currently in. I'm ever thankful to God for carrying both my husband and I through the good and the bad times. I played with the transparency idea with the die-cut shape of the Crate Paper to represent the "transparency" that I have with my husband. I had to use a dark background when taking the photos of the layout so as to show the contrast and design of the entire layout.
Supplies: Label Tulip October Kit (Papers used:Crate Paper Prudence Collection, Prima Transparency, Hambly Birdcages, Collage Press Jackson Lodge; Alphas: Basic Grey Ambrosia Chip Stickers; Rub-Ons: Crate Paper Mia collection; Chipboard flowers: Basic Grey Offbeat Chip Stickers)
Here's without the dark colored CS:
Some details:
So which do you prefer? With the darkbrown cardstock behind it or without?

I'll have pictures of the paper RAK loaded up soon!

Scrap-myself-silly was the first to leave me a comment so she'll get a surprise RAK from me! Will be in touch with you babe!
Have a great scrappy week ahead!!
Love,
Sophia

I like the one with the dark brown cardstock behind. Seems to be able to bring out the white designs on the transparency better
I prefer the one with the brown cardstock behind too. It can really bring out the designs of the transparency better. :)
