1) My Run

It was great!

I completed 10km in 1 hr 37min (according to the time chip tied to my shoe).

I know, for those who are ultra running machines, that's their crawling time.
But for me, it's a personal acheivement that I completed the race.

It's not how I run the race (I brisk walked/jogged).

Nor how long nor how fast I take to complete the race.

It's more importantly, I've finished the race!

At the end of it, the feeling of it was satisfactory.

I can look back and say," Hey! I did it! All 75kg of me!" (Yep, I'm that heavy and not ashame of it)
Or at least I can say I did 10km at 28 years old and am not even a runner when I was in school!

Nonethless, I've got a medal for the run this round!! LOL!

It's a finisher's medal!

I'm definitely gonna scrap on this running experience when the events photos are out on their site.

2) A sneak for my LO for next challenge at The Story Matters

Challenge will be launched on 29th Oct 2008. Do check us out there!

3) About a Boy

Yup, that's the title of my layout for Sketch #11! Some of you may have seen it over at Pink Sketches, but here it is:

Description: All the photos taken of my boy during a family photo-shoot were well taken. So to bring focus to one of the photos, I printed the rest of them out in antique mode, leaving only the portrait shot in color. I made a play with my stash of buttons to form a bracket and doodled around them. Inspired by Ali Edward's love for monograms, I used one for my boy's name and played with the journalling that for each line which coincides with the letter 'D', it will start with a word beginning with 'D'. I've also doodled, cut out and inked the clouds from scraps of pattern paper.
Journalling: Daren dares to be different, doing what he loves most & not afraid to do it differently in the way he plays or even thinks! What a lil DUDE!! Love Mummy.

Supplies: Fancy Pants Designs About a Boy paper line, Fancy Pants Designs Sweet Spring paper line and Autumn Leaves Cuteworld Boy paper line. Basic Grey's Milk Chocolate Chip Alpha, Autumn Leaves Cuteworld Boy Felt Aeroplane, buttons from my own personal stash.

Come over and play with us over at Pink Sketches! And for being a faithful follower and taker of the Sketch, Pink Sketches has got a RAK giveaway for one fortunate follower. So for each submission layout that you send in, it will be entered for a chance to be randomly drawed for the RAK!
So what are you waiting for? Hop by Pink Sketches and get scrapping!!
